Zalman NC3000S Notebook Cooler

The Zalman NC3000s is the standard version of the Zalman NC3000 series of notebook coolers. While the Zalman NC3000S notebook cooler is much more simplified than the feature packed Zalman NC3000U, it still has plenty of little extras packed in to it’s sturdy frame.

Both the Zalman NC3000S and the NC3000U have a pretty similar frame work. The large plastic base supports a 3mm thick aluminum frame, which can support a 19 inch notebook with ease.

The aluminum cover on the frame has over 1300 airflow holes which allow silent airflow, and provide a much greater surface area for heat dissipation.

The fan held inside the frame is a large silent running 220mm fan which provides a powerful amount of airflow, while maintaining low noise levels, helping to keep this one of the best quiet notebook coolers to be released in the last decade.

The frame of the Zalman NC3000S and it’s performance matches that of it’s feature filled brethren, but even though it has less additional features than the NC3000U, the Zalman NC3000S still has plenty to give to it’s users.

With the Zalman NC3000S Zalman notebook cooler you get a USB pass through port, meaning you get to keep the USB slot. You also get some great additions such as a fan speed control wheel, an on/off switch and a power indicator.  You might think a power indicator is a bit redundant, but the fans on the Zalman NC3000S really are so quiet that you may have trouble figuring out if it is switched on or not.

In conclusion, the Zalman NC3000S is a simple, but powerful, quiet notebook cooler that helps immensely with your notebook cooling.  Despite it’s lack of a four port USB hub, this is a fantastic notebook cooler.  If you need the extra three ports of a USB hub, then the Zalman NC3000U might be more suited to your needs, for most people however the Zalman NC3000S is perfect!
